Your Words Are Not Just Sound, They Are Strategy

We live in a world where words are thrown around carelessly—tweets, posts, quick comments, and offhand remarks. But here’s the truth: your words are not just sound, they are strategy.

Every time you open your mouth, you are either building or breaking something. You are either creating an environment of possibilities or closing doors to your next opportunity. Words don’t simply communicate—they construct. They shape how people perceive you, how policies are written around you, and how processes are built to include or exclude you.

This is why I teach in my Diplomatic Speaker™ Program that conversations are not casual—they are currency. And currency, when invested wisely, multiplies. When you speak with purpose, power, and precision, your words move beyond sound. They become strategic tools that mobilize people, influence policies, and leverage processes.

But for years, I’ve heard people tell me how amazing of a speaker I am and how well I communicate. To say I was simply “born with this” would be to diminish the effort it took to actualize my potential into a product. Because the truth is, many of you are sitting in potential and will never taste the product.

So, I won't. That would be misleading. Yes, I was born with a gift—but that gift had to be nurtured, trialed, and tested. Let me tell you about tested..later.

Once I mastered certain frameworks—what I call the Triangular Trade of Transactions™ (again, I am writing about this in my doctoral dissertation)—I discovered the environments that allow my seeds to grow and produce fruit. And here’s the truth: anyone can do this.

In this next season of my life, I’m committed to ensuring that the discipline I’ve built over decades produces disciples—people I am assigned to help grow and go, becoming the global leaders the world is waiting for.

So, I’ll leave you with this: the next time you step into a meeting, walk onto a stage, or even sit across from someone in conversation, remember—your words are not just filling the air. They are building the future.
