Hi there! It’s me.. The Digital Diplomat!
People ask me often, “W.E., how did you get into exporting?” To be honest, the first time I was asked that question, I had to stop for a moment and think about it. The truth is, I didn’t know anything about exporting as a business strategy until about two years ago. As I share in the audio, we’d been exporting our services since the inception of our company, but we had no idea.
Investopedia defines it as such:
Exports are goods and services that are produced in one country and sold to buyers in another. Exports, along with imports, make up international trade.
There are many benefits to exporting. Exporting can be a great way to expand your business and increase profitability. It can also help to spread risk and reduce dependence on your local market. Exporting exposes you to new ideas, marketing techniques and ways of competing you can’t experience at home.
We have also found, that oftentimes, it’s not that you have a bad business idea. It’s just not in the right market. The content is not in the right context.
After learning about exporting, we at the VGC Group became super intentional about this strategy, and not just for our business but for the work we do growing other brands.
We love this work so much we launched VGC University and have begun teaching others to do the same. It’s a platform we built to Educate Global Entrepreneurs.
Here's your personal invitation to join me in class at VGC U. Otherwise, let me know how you like my content in the comments!
